Day one of the next "block" of training and I woke up feeling proper rotten after "celebrating" a questonable race performance on Sunday of 43:52 for a horribly hilly Sheffield 10k with too much wine and unhealthy food.
Having decided hills were needed back in my training schedule I loosely planned out a three week training schedule to the next race (Draycote Water 10k) which started with a slow but hilly 10 miler.
Slow hilly 10 mile run
Distance: 10.22 miles
Average pace: 8:16 min/mile
Moving time: 1:24:26

Dry
Legs were very tired, head wasn't in it, a lot of doubt in my own mind as to whether I'd complete it.
Stopped a few metres into the first hill feeling like I couldn't do it. Convinced myself to slow down and trt, other stoppages were traffic related - it was a bad route for that time of day.
A tough run, felt disheartened and didn't enjoy it.
Physical self care
Not enough! Minimal warm up, a little bit of stretching.
Monthly cycle
Day 27, low mood, tiredness and bloating.
Diet
Ate well in the day, pretty unhealthy tea (sausages), then massive binging late night. Huge calorie intake disproportionate to exercise. Few decent proteins and lots of bad carbs, sugar, fat, etc.
